15 minutes of ab work each day is a great way to tone up your stomach. I provide you with tips daily that not only do I use but I hope you do too . I heard some great advice the other day; Do one minute of 1 ab exercise, switch up the exercise each minute for a total of five minutes. Have a little break and repeat for a total of 3 reps.

Why not walk one day, do some squats the next, and keep it different as each day passes! Never do the same exercise daily because then your body gets use to a routine and then you will be stuck back in the same routine!

This is what I do on a weekly basis:

DAILY: WALK for an hour

TRY THESE DAILY EXERCISES FOR 15 MINUTES
* Squats - three sets of 10 reps
* 5-10 pound dumbbells - Do 8-12 reps, then switch sides.
* Rest - so i do a little yoga to relax and stretch my body
* 25 Jumping jacks
* 1 minute plank
* 25 crunches

Exercise of the week: The Sissy Squat

The sissy squat is a great isolation exercise for the quads. If done correctly, it gives you a similar (burning) sensation as the leg extension machine. If you've never done it before use only your own body weight like in the video below. Trust me, it's challenging enough especially with slow tempo.

  • Start with feet under the lower padded bar and calves firmly against upper pads.
  • Cross arms on your shoulders or keep arms straight in front.
  • Sit backwards by bending knees and hips,  keeping the chest high. Make sure to create tension on the quads initially (by squeezing the muscles) and maintain this during the full movement.
  • Go as low as you can without falling over. Rise up by extending knees and tilting pelvis under while keeping the shoulders behind the hips.

Do you practice FLEXIBILITY?

Have you ever heard the phrase, “I will accomplish this even if it kills me”?
Well, in my beginning years of goal-setting and achieving… I almost died!
I wanted something so bad that I couldnt be happy with anything else until they were accomplished! This meant I was unhappy with alot! I had to learn to accept that things take time! More we want things to happen quickly or over work our magic is when we give up! Killing myself over things I can not control that takes training and pure passion is what drove me to overlook my ending result! Meaning, no matter my pace I will still accomplish those dreams! And thats all i needed to know!!

Action For Today:
Today, I want you to simply reflect on when you might have been too rigid on your goals in the past, even when they were no longer important to your now-greater future.

Look at the goals you wrote down at the beginning of this year.
Are they still relevant?
Are they still what’s MOST important, NOW?
Be willing to adjust, change or pivot entirely.

And remember this lesson as you walk into the great unknown of the rest of the year ahead, the rest of the decade ahead… It is possible that a great unexpected miracle is around the next corner; keep yourself open and flexible to the possibilities.
